Moved The Blog Again
And might be staying here for a while

Back in 2016, I moved my blog to GitLab Pages. In the time between then and now, I moved to Firebase Hosting, acquired a real domain, rewrote my static site generator maybe two or three times, and reskinned the blog countless times. Back then, my blog was really just an excuse to write JavaScript. My blog eventually ended up rewritten from scratch, down to the markdown parser. But doing it this way was a huge time sink - which I can do no more.
Fast forward a few years, I'm back on GitLab because I don't time to be fiddling with parsers, page generators, build processes, dependencies, and deployment. I just want to write and publish to my blog. The workflow is now just a write-commit-push, which then generates the site using Zola on GitLab. The blog repo is mostly just markdown files now, save for the CSS that adds some color to the pages. Gone are the fiddly dependencies and build processes. Hello simplicity.
It's been a while since I pumped out article after article. Hopefully this change gets me back on track and put more focus on the writing.
PS: I once blogged on Medium, and I loved how simple the interface was when writing. The only reason I moved away was because it's advised to own the platform you write on.
